The PWHL drops the puck to begin their third season as a league in one month, on November 21, 2025. Starting their first season as a franchise on opening night, is PWHL Vancouver.
Each PWHL team will play 30 regular season games (15 home, 15 away) with two pauses during the season, one of which will be for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
With this being PWHL Vancouver’s inaugural season, there are many games the fans will want to attend at home ice, the Pacific Coliseum.
First Game as a Franchise
Playing their first game as a franchise at home, PWHL Vancouver marks the start of a new era in women’s hockey for Vancouver on November 21st.
PWHL Vancouver will take on PWHL Seattle, another team making their debut as a franchise, and fans will not want to miss this historic game and the beginning of a west-coast rivalry. Puck drop is at 7:00pm PST.
A Day of Professional Vancouver Hockey
PWHL Vancouver’s second home game is on December 6, 2025, and it also marks the first time all three professional Vancouver hockey teams play at home on the same day.
This is a day full of home-town hockey for Vancouverites, and they will be able to experience more than one game in person.
PWHL Vancouver starts the Vancouver triple header by hosting the New York Sirens for the first time at 12:00 pm PST. Then, puck drops for both the Vancouver Canucks and the Abbotsford Canucks at 7:00pm PST, making it possible to attend either of these games after the PWHL Vancouver game.
The Return of Two PWHL Teams
On January 8, 2025, the city of Vancouver hosted a stop on the PWHL Takeover Tour. The teams that played were the Montréal Victoire and the Toronto Scepters. It will be exciting to see these two teams again, but this time against Vancouver’s very own PWHL team.
PWHL Vancouver plays the Victoire first on December 20, 2025, in a 12:00pm PST matinee game. This will also be their last game before Christmas break.
PWHL Vancouver plays the Sceptres on January 22, 2026, with a 7:00pm PST puck drop. This will also be PWHL Vancouver’s last home game before players head to Milan, Italy to represent their countries at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
Facing the Reigning Walter Cup Champions
On March 21, 2026, the new franchise will play the reigning back-to-back Walter Cup Champions, the Minnesota Frost, for the first time on home ice. Puck drop will be at 12:00pm PST.
While the two teams do face off early in the season with PWHL Vancouver listed as the home team, the venue is to be determined. It looks like this game will be part of another PWHL Takeover Tour.
Final Game of the Regular Season
PWHL Vancouver will end their regular season at home against the Frost on April 25, 2026.
The final game of their first season in the league will be one to celebrate. Although, there will hopefully be more PWHL Vancouver hockey to watch during the 2026 PWHL Playoffs, where they will work to dethrone the back-to-back Champions.
This is the last game day for all teams in the PWHL, and all eight teams will play. The season is being closed out on a Saturday, and puck drop for all of the games is still being determined.
An exciting time for all hockey fans, PWHL Vancouver’s season starts soon. With tons of highlight games to attend, Vancouver fans are excited to show up and support the new franchise as they start their first season in the league.
