While the MLB may not play very much in November, the player still rock some impressive mustaches. Here we are goin to look at some ‘staches from around the league, division by division. Some of these players may be free agents now that the season is over but it is based off of the team they were last on in 2024.
National League Central – Paul Skenes
Paul Skenes has now shown up on two Movember articles this month. He was on the NCAA article that you can read here. It is well deserved as he has been rocking the ‘stache through his college and MLB career so far. Skenes has played one year in the MLB since being drafted first overall in 2023 to the Pirates. In his rookie season, he was stellar. He played 23 games, went 11-3, had an ERA of 1.96 and racked up 170 strikeouts. An absolute beast on the mound while having a stellar mustache.
National League West – Anthony Banda
Anthony Banda had a great mustache in 2024. He also won a World Series Championship in 2024. Banda was pretty good for the Dodgers this season. He made 48 appearances, had a 3.08 ERA and had two saves. While he was decent in the regular season, he was elite in the postseason and needed to be. Banda appeared in ten games and pitched for eight innings. During that time, he had 1.13 ERA and was stellar for the Dodgers when they need him to be. The Dodgers struggled with injuries to their pitchers all season and needed the pitching staff to step up and he was one of the ones that did.
National League East – Spencer Strider
Spencer Strider is a great pitcher for the Atlanta Braves. Unfortunately for him, his season was limited to just two appearances after finishing fourth in NL Cy Young voting in 2023. In 2023, he was first in both strikeouts and wins in the National League. Strider will be out for the start of the 2025 season after undergoing surgery. Regardless of that, he still rocks a stellar mustache.
American League Central – Jake Rogers
Jake Rogers had a season that he does not want to repeat in 2025. His stats just were not where they needed to be for the Tigers. In 310 at bats, he had a batting average of .197 and an on base percentage of .255. Not the stats you want from your catcher. The best thing he had going for him was his amazing facial hair. He rocked more of a regular ‘stache during the season, but how can I not show off this handlebar mustache.
American League West – Andrew Chafin
Andrew Chafin may have the best mustache and hair combo in the MLB. You can see why his nickname is the “The Sheriff”. Chafin played for two teams this season, the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers. He was consistent throughout the whole season and was able to put up some great numbers. Despite that he was in the rare situation where he was traded to a team projected to make a run at the playoffs, when in fact his former team made a surge to make the post season. Unfortunate for him, but he still has an amazing mustache and hair combination.
American League East – Davis Schneider
The final player on this list is Toronto Blue Jay Davis Schneider. The Blue Jays did not have a great season and neither did Schneider. In 397 games, he had a batting average of .191 and an on base percentage of .282. Quite a difference from the last season. Toronto did not have the season they were hoping for and maybe that affected him or a bit as he just lost the confidence he had in his rookie season. He should bounce back next season, especially if the Blue Jays are able to be competitive again.
Major League Baseball has some stellar mustaches. In the spirit of Movember I have decided to display some the best beards as well down below because some of them are just too elite to not be seen. So here are the honorable mentions:
Keep it lock on Area 51 as we are now halfway through Movember! Make sure you go read all the other Movember articles and keep your eye out for more coming your way.
