Winnipeg Ice (6) vs Moose Jaw Warriors (1)
The Winnipeg ICE continued their home domination. They scored two in the first, three in the second, and one in the third as they cruised to a 6-1 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors.
Owen Pedersen and Mikey Milne led the way.Pedersen had two goals and an assist. Milne had a goal and two assists. Jack Finley and Jakin Smallwood had a goal and an assist. Matthew Savoie also scored. Connor McClennon and Cole Muir added two assists. Brayden Yager scored the lone goal at 17:38 of the third to stop the shutout for Daniel Hauser.
The ICE outshot the Warriors 29-7 after two periods en route to a 35-19 overall shot total. Carl Tetachuk made 24 saves on 29 shots before being relieved by Jordan Ungar for the third. Ungar made five saves on six shots. The ICE special teams was also dominant. They were two for four on the power play. The Warriors were zero for four.
During the home playoffs, the ICE have outscored their opponents 24-6. When the ICE score six or more goals, fans get free pancakes from a local pancake establishment.
