Area 51 Sports Network a place where you can get your start in sports media. We strive on being open, honest and help you hone your skills and your voice when writing. Our team is devotes to covering their passion. Whatever that may be. We cover everything and anything you can think of related to sports.
Here is a list of each section we cover:
NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE
The Area 51 NHL team has the goal covering all Canadians team closely and having the league covered as a whole. If you have an interest in covering a specific NHL team on a regular basis or the league as whole, this is the place for you!
NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
The National Football League may have one of the biggest fan bases in North America. With that, Area 51 wants to build a team that cover a league that size on a week by week basis.
NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
The NBA section is wanting to build a team of writers, starting with coverage of the Raptors. If you have an interest in basketball and want to cover the league in anyway, this is the section for you!
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL
The Major League Baseball section is currently looking to build a consistent content stream for the site. We are wanting to build a network of writers that have a passion for baseball.
SOCCER
The Soccer section is currently covering the Vancouver Whitecaps, Canadian Soccer, and the Chelsea Football Club. We are looking to expand this section to cover all the MLS, Premier League, and Canadian Premier League. Area 51 is always open to everything Soccer related.
BLOGS
The Blog section of Area 51 covers everything that is not one of the major leagues. If you want to check out what we currently cover, it is all in the Blogs guide. The Blogs section for writers to write. What we mean is if you want to cover Darts, cover Darts. If you want to cover Motocross, cover Motocross. If you want to cover the Speed Walking World Championship, then cover the Speed Walking World Championship. The Blog section was created so that writers could have no limits on what they cover in the sports world. No idea is a bad idea in the Blog section.
At Area 51 Sports Network, we are open to all writers. We strive to support and help new writers get the start they need to go into the sports media world.
